Call me Ishmael…

I live on a boat.   This is a story about me, living on a boat.  That’s all there is to it. Oh, that and the fact that I had never been on a sailboat in my life prior to moving aboard Windseeker.   That’s her name, Windseeker. And she, and all 42 by 14 feet of her, are blue and white and reaching almost 55 feet into the sky.  Now, about a year into living aboard, I know that she is actually quite “something” of a boat.  I won’t say beautiful, (though she has a beauty), and I won’t say fast or ‘all original’ or even that she’s extraordinarily unique.  But she definitely has “something” to her.

Oh, and she is a she.

So this blog is really just me: floundering around and learning about life on a sailboat.  Year round.  In Ontario, Canada.   And all of the ups and downs of that. Oh, and also I think a great way to answer the identical, million questions I inevitably get when someone finds out about my domestic circumstance.   I don’t blame anyone.  I would have had all the same questions to me.   So I decided to answer them for me.   And you.  Image
